Many ICSs still awaiting confirmed digital strategies
17 April 2023
Seventeen ICSs are reportedly without a confirmed strategy for the development of digital services, according to the HSJ.
Having a digital strategy is a key part of an ICS’s digital requirements under NHS England’s ‘What Good Looks Like’ framework, which sets out the digital capabilities required of ICSs and trusts. ICSs have until 2025 to be compliant with the framework.
The HSJ reports that the West Midlands, Home Counties, and the North East are the areas where digital planning is currently the least advanced.
Judith Shaw, Managing Director for Liaison Workforce, comments: “Digital strategies require time to be put together appropriately, with the right stakeholders and input across a system. However, the process can be sped up by having a partner with the knowledge and experience to both strategise and implement digital transformation.” Liaison Workforce can support the development of digital strategies for ICSs; providing the solutions to successfully see them to fruition and effective root cause analysis for workforce transformation.
